a). Anionic and Nonionic Polyacrylamides

MIC nonionic and anionic polyacrylamides have excellent performance, and quality of manufacture to highest standards can be assured based on many decades of process know-how applied to these products.

MIC TREAT – Dry powder flocculants

MIC Supplies dry powder flocculants with anionic charge density ranging from 0-100% that are class leading in applications such as raw water clarification, fermentation by-product recovery, sugar juice clarification and process water recycling. Anionic high molecular weight polymers are used for flocculating negatively charged particles by interaction with suitable cationic adsorption sites e.g. Ca 2+ , Mg 2+ , Al 3+ , Fe 2+  and Fe 3+ . Nonionic polyacrylamides are very effective in mineral and textiles processing applications.

b). Cationic Polyacrylamides

MIC TREAT – Dry powder flocculants

MIC Supplies a full range of cationic dry powder flocculants that are particularly effective in primary clarification, sludge thickening and sludge dewatering applications in the municipal area. These cationic flocculants are also offered in a range of molecular weights. This enables the customer to select the optimum polymer depending on application needs, such as low molecular weights for low shear applications (e.g. gravity belt thickener) to very high molecular weights for high shear environments (e.g. centrifuge decanters).

c). Defoamers

MIC supplies a complete portfolio of environmentally and process-friendly defoamers for all municipal and industrial applications. Our versatile MIC TREAT product line includes different chemistries for various foam scenarios.

Water-Based Foam Control

MIC supplies water-based defoamers are process-friendly dispersions of long-chain fatty alcohols which easily emulsify with water. They provide good de-aeration and efficient foam suppression over a wide range of pH (3-10) at temperatures up to 60˚C (140˚F), leaving no residual material in the system. The products constitute an economic and sustainable choice for a variety of applications, especially in waste water treatment, cooling towers, fiberglass mat manufacturing, and as a filtration aid in conjunction with MIC polymers.

Water-Extended Oil-Based Foam Control

MIC supplies water extended oil-based defoamers include amide/silica, and silicone chemistries, which generally work at higher temperatures than water-based defoamers and tend to be more persistent in handling difficult foaming problems. While similar to oil-based defoamer performance, they are generally lower in cost and contribute less oil than straight oil-based defoamers. Applications include a variety of uses in paper, board, coatings, pulping, and waste water.
